Abstract A PROCESS FOR FORMING AN IMAGEWISE PATTERN OF A POSITIVE-ACTING PHOTORESIST MATERIAL ON A RECEPTOR SURFACE IS PROVIDE, WHEREIN A DRY FILM OF PHOTOSOLUBILIZABLE MATERIAL, SUPPORTED BY A CARRIER SHEET, IS BONDED TO THE RECEPTOR FOLLOWED BY EXPOSURE AND DEVELOPMENT THEREOF TO LEAVE AN IMAGE PATTERN ON THE RECEPTOR. CONVENTIONAL PROCESSES CAN THEN BE USED TO TREAT THE EXPOSED RECEPTOR SURFACE, E.G. ETCHING, PLATING, ETC.
