Abstract
Abstract A vacuum cleaner construction comprising an improved means for pivotally connecting a cover to a base in a canister type vacuum cleaner. The pivot means includes integral camming structure for camming the connector elements apart to release the cover from the base as an incident of a forceful urging of the cover beyond the normal open position. Removable switch and light means are mounted on the cover adjacent the pivot means.
