Abstract A NOVEL CLASS OF LIGHT-SENSITIVE POLYMERS CONTAIN A DIARYLCYCLOPROPENE MOIETY, SUCH AS A DIARYLCYCLOPROPENIUM ION OR A DIARYLCYCLOPROPENYL GROUP, DIRECTLY ATTACHED TO A PHENYL GROUP OF A POLYMER BACKBONE. THE POLYMERS ARE USEFUL IN PREPARING PHOTOMECHANICAL IMAGES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
