Abstract
Abstract A hot melt adhesive composition capable of emulsification in water comprising (1) from 35 to 95 percent by weight of natural resins selected from the group consisting of tall oil resins and colophony resins, (2) from 5 to 30 percent by weight of a surface-active polyethylene oxide adduct having a Griffin HLB value of from 10 to 20, (3) from zero to 30 percent by weight of ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers having from 25 to 45 mol percent of vinyl acetate, and (4) from zero to 25 percent by weight of high-boiling hydrocarbons.
