Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 17 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the prealloyed powders are formed by inert gas atomization.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 15 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the prealloyed powders are a nickel-base alloy.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 50 words
A method as claimed in claim 3 wherein the nickel-base alloy has a nominal composition in weight percent of 8 percent tantalum, 4 percent tungsten, 4 percent molybdenum, 2.5 percent columbium, 6 percent chromium, 6 percent aluminum, 0.75 percent zirconium, 0.125 percent carbon, 0.004 percent boron, and the balance nickel.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 28 words
A method as claimed in claim 4 wherein the prealloyed powders are shaped at a strain rate of between about 0.03 to 0.07 inch per inch per minute.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 16 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the prealloyed powders are a cobalt base alloy.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 21 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the prealloyed powders are consolidated by extruding the prealloyed powders into bar stock.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 19 words
A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the prealloyed powders are consolidated while enclosed in a shaped container.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 18 words
A method as claimed in claim 8 including the step of enclosing the powder in a metallic can.
