Abstract THIS INVENTION RELATES TO A METHOD OF MAKING FOAMED ARTICLES HAVING A REINFORCING MEMBER BY FOAMING A FOAMABLE MATERIAL IN A MOLD CAVITY AND FLOATING THE REINFORCING MEMBERS UPWARD TO THE DESIRED POSITION AND RETAINING THEM THERE UNTIL THE FOAM I SET, THE FOAMING OCCURRING EITHER IN THE PRESENCE OF A PREFORMED SKIN OR UNDER CONDITIONS TO FORM AN INTEGRAL SKIN.
