Abstract
Abstract A sealing device for bounding concrete sections when making slit walls is suggested comprising first and second vertical profiles extending parallel to each other, having plane earth-touching surfaces and being adapted to be telescoped transversely of the longitudinal axis of the slit wall, further comprising pressing devices built-in within said first and second profiles so that the latter can be presse apart from each other as much as desired toward the side walls of the excavated slot with the aid of said pressing devices, and wherein said first profile is a steel reinforced concrete profile and said second profile is a steel profile.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
249 words
A supporting device bounding a concrete section disposed in a slit in excavated earth, said supporting device having no direct support in the longitudinal direction of said slit and comprising: an elongated vertically oriented concrete profile (1) having one broad vertical surface making contact with one earth wall of said slit, a second vertical surface having a laterally projecting member along its length spaced from a second earth wall of said slit; an elongated vertically oriented steel profile (2) having a broad outer surface making contact with the substantially parallel opposite earth wall of said slit and having an inner spaced surface at right angles to said outer surface mating with said laterally projecting member of said concrete profile in removable telescoping arrangement; and elongated, vertically oriented, removable inflatable tubes (3) between the second vertical surface of said conrete profile and said steel profile extending substantially through the full height thereof for controlling the telescoping action therebetween, said tubes upon being inflated forcing said profiles apart laterally of said slit and firmly against said opposite earth walls to retain fluid concrete poured into said slit on one side of said laterally oriented combination of said profiles and said inflatable tubes, at least one said inflatable tube being located between said fluid concrete and said telescoping arrangement; said concrete profile remaining as a part of and embedded in the slit wall structure, said steel profile and said inflatable tubes being removable for further use upon initial hardening of said concrete.

Dependent Claim

Claim 3
Dependent Claim
36 words
A supporting device according to claim 1 in which said steel profile (2) is slightly bent convexly with regard to the respective slit side wall in an horizontal sectional view when being in the released condition.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
20 words
A supporting device according to claim 6 and further comprising joint straps (5) sidewise fastened on said concrete profile (1).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
25 words
A supporting device according to claim 1 in which said concrete profile consists of profile sections arranged in series with regard to the Vertical direction.
