Abstract
Abstract A process for the production of a gelled explosive composition of nitromethane, inorganic nitrate, a water or methanol fluid medium, and gelling agents therefor, comprising mixing said nitromethane and said fluid medium, adding with thorough agitation said inorganic nitrate, a gelling agent for the fluid medium and a cyanoethyl ether of galactomannan gum gelling agent for the nitromethane.
