Abstract
Abstract An amplifier with automatic amplification control in which a portion of the audio frequency voltage is tapped from the input or the output of the amplifier and is converted to a d.c. control voltage. At least one network in the amplifier is effective to influence the frequency response of the amplifier in the voice frequency range. Such network can comprise negative feedback circuits or frequency-dependent voltage divider circuits, used individually or in combination, and these circuits include adjustable resistors whose resistance values are determined by the control voltage.
