The method of anesthetizing an anesthetic-susceptible mammal which comprises administering by inhalation to said mammal an anesthetically-effective amount of an ether compound of the formula CF3CHF-O-CF2CHFCl as an inhalation anesthetic, while administering life-supporting amounts of oxygen.
