Abstract
Abstract Diethyl betaaminoethylphosphonate can be used to inhibit and/or prevent the growth of undesirable algae, bacteria, fungi, yeast, and other microorganisms. This invention is particularly concerned with the bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties of diethyl betaaminoethylphosphonate compounds against species of Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, Staphylococcus and Xanthomonas.
