Abstract

Abstract An articulated vehicle is provided with a bifurcated front frame having forwardly extending side members supported by wheels at the outer ends thereof. An elongated tine, located between the side members, is attached on the front frame by a parallelogramtype linkage means for lifting and carrying a load thereon. One pair of links forming the linkage means comprise hydraulic cylinders adapted to selectively tilt the tine to enable the load to be more easily picked up and retained while being carried.

Dependent Claim 29 words
The vehicle of claim 1 wherein the linkage means includes a pair of laterally spaced fixed length links and a pair of laterally spaced extensible and retractable link means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 59 words
The vehicle of claim 1 wherein the load supporting means comprises a single tine member, disposed substantially on the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, having a generally circular cross section terminating in a tip at one end thereof whereby the tine member may support a tubular-shaped load by inserting the tine member through a hole defined in the load.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 43 words
The vehicle of claim 1 further comprising a pair of axle mounting flanges attached to a forward end of each side member, a pair of stub axles attached to the mounting flanges and a pair of wheels rotatably mounted on the stub axles.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 31 words
The vehicle of claim 1 wherein the load supporting means comprises a pair of laterally-spaced fork tines extending forwardly from a bottom of the support means for supporting a palletized load.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 42 words
The vehicle of claim 3 wherein the fixed length links are pivotally interconnected between lower portions of the front frame and the support means and the link means are pivotally interconnected between upper portions of the front frame and the support means.
