Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim 22 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the heating step is conducted under an atmospherE chemically inert to the ceramic powder.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 34 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the atmosphere is comprised of a gas selected from the group consisting of helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, nitrogen, dry hydrogen, dissociated ammonia and mixtures thereof.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 16 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the ceramic powder is comprised of uranium oxide.

The process according to claim 1 in which the ceramic powder is comprised of uranium dioxide.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 16 words
A process according to claim 1 in which the ceramic powder is comprised of uranyl fluoride.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 84 words
A process for deadening a ceramic powder during a heat treatment in excess of about 400*C where the ceramic powder has a moisture content of less than about 1016 molecules per square centimeter, the process comprising the steps of a. uniformly introducing moisture to the ceramic powder so that the moisture content of the powder is in excess of about 1016 molecules per square centimeter, and b. thereafter conducting the heat treatment on the ceramic powder at a temperature in excess of about 400*C.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
A process according to claim 7 in which the ceramic powder is comprised of uranium oxide.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 16 words
A process according to claim 7 in which the ceramic powder is comprised of uranium dioxide.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 16 words
A process according to claim 7 in which the ceramic powder is comprised of uranyl fluoride.
