Abstract

Abstract Composite polyolefin yarns formed by a polypropylene or highdensity polyethylene core or center ply coated with at least one layer of a thermoplastic material such as a foamed resin, which serves to deluster and to reduce the slippage properties of the resultant yarn, and also to impart other characteristics thereto which improve the dye-ability and bondability of fabrics woven from the yarn, without sacrificing the advantages gained by the use of a high-strength core.
