Abstract
Abstract A pinned joint connects joinable edges of two bodies having complementary projections arranged so that the bodies can be moved together with the projections alternately overlapping in a common parting region between confronting surfaces of the projections. The confronting surfaces of the projections have recesses that are aligned when the bodies are fitted together to form a slot extending along the common parting region transversely to the direction of fitting the bodies together, and a pin is placed into the slot to lock the bodies together. Such bodies can be formed in a simple, two-part mold, and easily assembled for construction and other purposes.
