Abstract MEMBRANE TYPE POLAROGRAPHIC OXYGEN LSENSORS ARE CONSTRUCTED TO BE UNIFORMLY RECHARGEABLE WITH ELECTROLYTE BY INTRODUCING A SELECTED QUANITY OF ELECTROLYTE INTO A TUBULAR CAP FOR RECEPTION AT THE ELECTRODE SIDE OF A MEMBRANE IN THE CAP; THE CAP IS THEN ASSEMBLED INTO THE SENSOSR BODY IN SUCH MANNER AS TO BRING THE ELECTROLYTE INTO CONTACT WITH THE CATHODE TIP, AND INTO A PREDETERMINED VOLUME SPACE ADJACENT THE TIP FOR CURRENT CARRYING PURPOSES.
