Abstract ARTICLE AND METHOD OF PREPARING CONTINUOUS GLASS FIBERS INTO A CONTINUOUS BUNDLE FOR THE USE IN FORMING FRICTION CLUTCH FACINGS. PLURAL ROVINGS (EACH CONTAINING MANY THOUSAND INDIVIDUAL CONTINUOUS GLASS FILAMENTS) ARE IMPREGNATED IN A CEMENT BATH, AND, AFTER PARTIAL DRYING, ARE COLLECTED AND CONTAINED IN A CONTINUOUS BUNDLE BY HELICALLY WRAPPING WITH A SOFT METAL WIRE. THEREAFTER THE BUNDLES ARE ADAPTED TO BE SPIRALLY WOUND UPON THEMSELVES INTO DISC-LIKE FORMS AND CURED UNDER HEAT AND PRESSURE TO DEFINE A FRICTION CLUTCH FACING.
