A nozzle for attachment to a hose comprising a first cylindrical body of metal of the type that can be worked to provide a smooth inner surface, which first cylindrical body comprises the male portion of said nozzle, external threads on a portion of said male body, a second cylindrical body of metal comprising the female portion of said nozzle and of the type that can be worked to provide a smooth inner surface, said second cylindrical body having internal threads thereon that coact with said external threads of said male body to provide relative vertical motion between said bodies, a closure valve concentrically located with, and at one end of, said male body, a head providing a seat for said valve, said head having its outer portion crimpedly attached to an end of said female body, and a coupling for attachment to a hose, said coupling being detachably secured to said male portion at that end remote from said valve supporting end.
