Abstract
Abstract Disclosed herein are nitrogen-heterocyclylgold(I) compounds wherein the gold is bonded directly, or via a p-phenylene group, to carbon of the heterocyclic nucleus, and a process for their preparation comprising reacting a heterocyclyllithium compound with a trihydrocarbyl-phosphorus, -arsenic, or -antimony-gold halide. The compounds are useful for gold plating and for printing electrical circuits.
