Abstract
Abstract Borax forms 1-2-glycol borate esters that are excellant chelating agents in alkaline detergent formulae. These borate esters are used as a replacement for the conventional prior art sequestering phosphates in novel detergent compositions, in order to reduce the danger of eutrophication from the waste waters.
