Abstract
Abstract A method and apparatus for control of a vehicle at constant speed. An actual vehicle speed signal is developed and when it is desired to operate the vehicle continuously at this actual speed, the actual speed is stored in a memory. A negative feedback signal responsive to the opening degree of the throttle valve is applied to the storage means storing the desired vehicle speed and varies the stored desired vehicle speed in accordance with the opening degree of the throttle valve. The actual vehicle speed signal is then brought into coincidence with the desired vehicle speed, thus maintaining the vehicle at a constant speed equal to the desired vehicle speed.
