Abstract

Abstract A fuel control system for use with a compression ignition engine driven transmission. Fuel pressure modified by a regulating valve responsive to an engine operating parameter is supplied to a diaphragm type motor mounted on the transmission. The output of the motor varies in response to the fuel feed position of the engine fuel control to provide a variable force torque demand signal which is imposed on the throttle valve which throttle valve supplies a control pressure in the transmission. Thus, the control pressure level of the throttle valve is controlled proportional to engine torque demand by the engine fuel control.
