Abstract

Abstract An apparatus wherein a plurality of fibers are transported to and deposited on a foraminous conveyor by a flow of gas to form a nonwoven fibrous web. The passage of the flow through the conveyor is regulated by two independently operable, superposed means for selectively restricting such passage to control the deposition of the fibers on the conveyor and thereby control the thickness of the web.
