Abstract A GRANULAR HYDROUS SODIUM SILICATE PRODUCT THE GRANULES OF WHICH COMPRISE AGGLOMERATED PARTICLES, THE NA2O/SIO2 RATIO OF SAID PRODUCT RANGING FROM 1:1.0 TO 1:3.2 WITH A WATER CONTENT OF 10 TO 20% BY WEIGHT IS MADE BY A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SAID PRODUCT INVOLVING THE DISPERSION OF AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF SODIUM SILICATE INTO A FLUID BED ZONE, REMOVING A PORTION OF THE BED, CONTROLLING OPERATING VARIABLES TO MAINTAIN THE MOISTURE CONTENT OF THE BED WITHIN PRESCRIBED LIMITS AND RECYCLING A QUANTITY OF THE MATERIAL REMOVED.
