Abstract A NEW ONE-STEP PROCESS FOR THE PURIFICATION AND ISOLATION OF THE THROMBIN-LIKE FRACTION OF THE VENOM OF CERTAIN PIT VIPERS IS DESCRIBED. THE SIMPLE PROCESS USES AFFINITY CHROMATOGRAPHY FOR THE FRACTIONATION OF NATIVE VENOM, EMPLOYING SPECIFICALLY BUFFERED LOADING AND ELUTION SOLUTIONS.
