Abstract
Abstract An acoustic signal transmitter includes an electronic oscillator capable of developing a signal of a given acoustic frequency within a range of such frequencies. A piezoelectric transducer forms part of the tuned circuit that controls the frequency of the oscillator. Coupled across the transducer is an electrical reactance selectively adjustable in discrete steps in order to modify the aforesaid frequency.
