Abstract
Abstract FLAME-RESISTANT POLYURETHANE FOAMS ARE OBTAINED BY INCORPORATING IN THE FOAM-FORMING REACTION MIXTURE A HALOGEN-SUBSTITUTED AROMATIC AMINE HAVING NOT MORE THAN ONE BENZENE RING, FOR EXAMPLE 4-CHLORO-M-PHENYLENE DIAMINE OR P-CHLORO-ANILINE. THE INVENTION IS PARTICULARLY APPLICABLE TO FLEXIBLE FOAMS OF LOW DENSITY IN RESPECT OF WHICH IT IS POSSIBLE TO OBTAIN FOAMS WHICH ARE SELF-EXTINGUISHING WHEN EXPOSED TO FLAME.
