Abstract
Abstract A probe-type flowmeter for measuring the flow of conducting fluids, in particular liquid sodium, is described. The probe includes a permanent magnet for developing a magnetic flux and a pair of conductors coupled to a metering device for measuring the e.m.f. developed in the conducting fluid. The magnitude of the e.m.f. is a function of the fluid velocity.
