Abstract
Abstract CELLULOSE MATERIAL HAVING IMPROVED PHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND HAVING PARTICULAR APPLICATION AS INSULATION IN ELECTRICAL APPARATUS. THE CELLULOSE MATERIAL, SUCH AS 100% KRAFT FIBER PAPER, IS TREATED WITH A COMBINATION OF A CELLULOSE DERIVATIVE, DIGLYCOLAMINE AND AN ALKYLKETENE DIMER. THE TREATMENT WITH THIS COMBINATION OF INGREDIENTS IMPROVES THE THERMAL STABILITY OF THE CELLULOSE MATERIAL WITH SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER DIELECTRIC LOSS CHARACTERISTICS, AS WELL AS IMPROVING THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE MATERIAL.
