Abstract POSITIVE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES ARE PRODUCED BY A MODIFIED DYE DIFFUSION TRANSFER PROCESS INCLUDING EXPOSURE OF A SILVER HALIDE EMULSION LAYER TRANSFER OF A DIFFUSING DEVELOPMENT INHIBITING SUBSTANCE FROM THE EXPOSED AREAS TO AN UNEXPOSED DEVELOPABLE EMULSION LAYER WHEREBY DEVELOPMENT IS INHIBITED BY THE SAID TRANSFERRED DEVELOPMENT INHIBITING SUBSTANCE AND TRANSFER OF A DYE FROM THE SAID SECOOND EMULSION LAYER WHICH IS SPLIT OFF FROM A NON-DIFFUSING DYE-GIVING COMPOUNDS UPON DEVELOPMENT, TO AN IMAGE-RECEIVING ELEMENT, WHEREBY THE NONDIFFUSING DYE-GIVING COMPOUND HAS THE FORMULA DEFINED BELOW.
