Abstract
Abstract Claimed is a process for producing anhydrous alkali-metal tetrachloroferrates by heating with distillation a mixture of an alkali-metal chloride and a hydrous ferric chloride or an aqueous mixture of an alkali-metal chloride and ferric chloride. The alkali-metal tetrachloroferrates are useful as intermediates for producing chlorine.
