Abstract
Abstract A caseless smoke generating grenade consists essentially of a cast flexible main charge. The flameless pyrotechnic composition used in the main charge is comprised of substantially equal proportions of zinc oxide and a perchlorate oxidizer distributed throughout a plasticized polymeric resin fuel having a high halogen content. The composition is free of solvent and provides controlled burning coupled with excellent flexibility, cohesive strength and impact resistance.
