Abstract A PHOTOELECTROPHORETIC IMAGING SYSTEM AND APPARATUS ARE DESCRIBED WITHIN ELECTRICALLY PHOTOSENSITIVE PARTICLES DISPERSED IN A CARRIER LIQUID ARE SUBJECTED TO AN ELECTRIC FIELD AND EXPOSED TO IMAGEWISE LIGHT CAUSING SELECTIVE PARTICLE MAGRATION IN IMAGE CONFIGURATION. THE IMAGEWISE EXPOSURE IS DIRECTED AT A LIQUID NIP OF THE PARTICLE-LIQUID SUSPENSION. THE EXPOSURE IS NOT DIRECTED THROUGH EITHER NIP FORMING SURFACE.
