Abstract
Abstract A tape handling device for a tape processing machine having a punch tape unit from which the tape is expelled. An upper take-up reel driven by a motor drive is rendered operative under the control of a tape tension switch. Magnetic means releasably hold reels on the upper and lower reel shafts. The motor drive is reversible and variable in speed for tape take-up and rewind purposes.
