Abstract

Abstract A register has a plurality of groups of decimally relate number wheels which are driven during a dispensing operation to indicate the quantity and cost of a separable commodity (e.g., gasoline) being dispensed. A motorized mechanism, driven by a motor in the housing of the dispensing apparatus (which motor is energizable from a remote point), is utilized for resetting the number wheels to zero after the completion of a dispensing operation. The motor drives a shaft whose rotation releases a latch and also effects the resetting of the number wheels.
