Abstract
Abstract There are disclosed anthelmintic compositions containing carbamates and thiocarbamates of the formula IN WHICH EACH OF R1 and R2 independently represents hydrogen, halogen or halogenoalkyl; R3 represents hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, hydroxyl, amino, carbamoyl, sulphamoyl, phenoxy or sulphonic acid group, alkyl, alkenyl, halogenoalkyl, aralkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl, S-alkylsulphonylamino, alkylsulphamoyl, dialkylsulphamoyl, alkylcarbamoyl, dialkylcarbamoyl, alkylamino, dialkylamino, acylamino, acyl or carbalkoxy; R4 represents hydrogen, halogen or alkyl; and X and Y each independently represents oxygen or sulphur. These compounds and their salts have anthelmintic properties and can be incorporated into animal feeds.
