Abstract
Abstract A SULFUR OXIDE ACTIVITY METER FOR MEASURING DIRECTLY IN AN ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL THE CHANGES IN SO2 ACTIVITY IN A SAMPLE GAS BEING SUPPLIED CONTINUOUSLY TO THE CELL. THE ELECTRODE CONSISTS OF MOLTEN FUSED LI2SO4, K2SO4 AND ANA2SO4. THE SAMPLE GAS FORMS PART OF ONE ELECTRODE WHILE A REFERENCE GAS HAVING A FIXED CONCENTRATION OF SO2 FORMS PART OF THE OTHER ELECTRODE.
