Abstract
Abstract The invention is addressed to a new and improved method and apparatus for sealing an opening in a rigid panel in which first and second sealing members are inserted into the opening in the rigid panel, and subjected to a first lateral mechanical tension, the members are then heated, preferably by ultrasonic heating means and then the members are subjected to a second mechanical tension.
