Abstract
Abstract The recording element comprises an electrically conductive substrate and a layer of a photoconductive, pyroelectric compound on the substrate. The layer comprises one or more wafers of the pyroelectric compound, each wafer being similarly oriented on the substrate so that its polar c-axis is transverse to the opposite large surfaces of the layer. The novel electrophotographic recording element is charged by merely changing the temperature of the layer a few degrees.
