Abstract AN ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PLATE AND IMAGING PROCESS ARE DISCLOSED. THE PLATE COMPRISES A CONDUCTIVE SUBSTRATE COATED WITH A THICK ORGANIC INSULATING LAYER OVERCOATED WITH A THIN PHOTOCONDUCTIVE LAYER. IMAGES MAY BE FORMED BY ELECTROSTATICALLY CHARGING THE PLATE, EXPOSING IT TO AN IMAGE AND DEVELOPING WITH ELECTROSCOPIC MARKING MATERIAL.
