Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 12
Claim 1
Independent Claim 60 words
A deflection yoke for a cathode ray tube comprising: a multiple-part core member having at least one substantially circular flared portion and at least one substantially quasicylindrical portion, said quasi-cylindrical portion affixed to the flared portion and formed to telescope over the neck portion of a cathode ray tube; and horizontal and vertical deflection windings toroidally-wound about said core member.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 60 words
A deflection yoke for a cathode ray tube comprising: a multiple-part core member having at least one substantially circular flared portion and at least one substantially quasicylindrical portion, said quasi-cylindrical portion affixed to the flared portion and formed to telescope over the neck portion of a cathode ray tube; and horizontal and vertical deflection windings toroidally-wound about said core member.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 56 words
The deflection yoke of claim 1 wherein said quasi-cylindrical portion of said core member includes at least one protuberance extending inwardly toward said neck portion of said cathode ray tube and said circular flared portion includes a notch whereby alignment of said quasi-cylindrical portions of said yoke is effected by alignment of said protuberance and notch.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 25 words
The deflection yoke of claim 1 wherein said flared portion and said quasi-cylindrical portion each include a plurality of notches whereby alignment therebetween is effected.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 46 words
The deflection yoke of claim 1 wherein said flared portion and said quasi-cylindrical portion each include a frontward edge portion and a rearward edge portion with said rearward edge portion of said flared portion in contacting relationship with said frontward edge portion of said quasi-cylindrical portion.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 94 words
The deflection yoke of claim 1 wherein said flared portion of said core member includes a frontward edge portion having pairs of diametrically opposed notches lying on the horizontal axis and on the vertical axis and said quasi-cylindrical portion of said core member includes a frontward edge portion having pairs of diametrically opposed notches lying on the horizontal axis and on the vertical axis and pairs of protuberances lying on the horizontal and on the vertical axes in alignment with said notches and extending inwardly toward said neck portion of said cathode ray tube.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 44 words
The deflection yoke of claim 1 wherein said flared portion is of a thickness substantially greater than the thickness of said quasi-cylindrical portion and formed for contact with said toroidally-wound horizontal and vertical deflection windings whereby an improved inductance to resistance ratio is obtained.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 59 words
A cathode ray tube deflection yoke comprising: a pair of horizontal and pair of vertical deflection windings; a multiple-part core member toroidally wrapped with said deflection windings, said core member including at least one circular flared portion and a quasi-cylindrical portion affixed to the flared portion and adapted to telescope over the neck portion of a cathode ray tube.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 59 words
A cathode ray tube deflection yoke comprising: a pair of horizontal and pair of vertical deflection windings; a multiple-part core member toroidally wrapped with said deflection windings, said core member including at least one circular flared portion and a quasi-cylindrical portion affixed to the flared portion and adapted to telescope over the neck portion of a cathode ray tube.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 19 words
The deflection yoke of claim 7 wherein said flared portion is of a thickness greater than said quasi-cylindrical portion.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 25 words
The deflection yoke of claim 7 wherein said flared portion and quasi-cylindrical portion each include at least one notch whereby longitudinal alignment therebetween is effected.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 57 words
The deflection yoke of claim 7 wherein said quasi-cylindrical portion includes a plurality of notches and a plurality of protuberances extending inwardly toward said neck portion of said cathode ray tube with said notches and protuberances longitudinally aligned and said flared portion includes a notch formed for alignment with said protuberances and notches of said quasi-cylindrical portion.
