Abstract

Abstract A toroidal-type deflecting yoke for use in television receivers, wherein a ring core having an elliptical cross section is longitudinally divided into two sections. Coils having a greater number of turns are wound on the two core sections respectively, the core sections having the coils wound thereon being joined to each other. Coils having a lesser number of turns are wound on the joined portions of said core sections, so that the winding of the coils can be effectively performed.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 97 words
A deflecting yoke comprising: two core sections formed by longitudinally dividing a ringlike core, a first pair of coils toroidally wound on said core sections respectively, said coils having a predetermined number of turns, means for joining said two core sections together into the ringlike shape, a second pair of coils toroidally wound on said core sections and said means for joining in such a manner as to cover the joined portions of said core sections, said second pair of coils having a number of turns which is less than that of said first pair of coils.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 97 words
A deflecting yoke comprising: two core sections formed by longitudinally dividing a ringlike core, a first pair of coils toroidally wound on said core sections respectively, said coils having a predetermined number of turns, means for joining said two core sections together into the ringlike shape, a second pair of coils toroidally wound on said core sections and said means for joining in such a manner as to cover the joined portions of said core sections, said second pair of coils having a number of turns which is less than that of said first pair of coils.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 17 words
A deflecting yoke according to claim 1, wherein the cross-sectional configuration of said ringlike core is elliptical.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 43 words
A deflecting yoke according to claim 1, wherein said means for joining the two core sections are two insulating rings fitted on the opposite ends of said two core sections thereby to hold said two core sections in fixed relationship to each other.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 31 words
A deflecting yoke according to claim 3, wherein grooves are formed in the outer peripheries of said insulating rings so that said second pair of coils wound thereon are fitted therein.
