Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 48 words
In a refrigeration system of the closed circuit, vapor cycle type, the improvement comprising refrigerant drier means; and means for circulating a stream of refrigerant vapor and moisture through said drier means from the vapor space of said system during periods when the system is not in operation.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 48 words
In a refrigeration system of the closed circuit, vapor cycle type, the improvement comprising refrigerant drier means; and means for circulating a stream of refrigerant vapor and moisture through said drier means from the vapor space of said system during periods when the system is not in operation.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 47 words
Apparatus as defined in claim 1 wherein said means for circulating said stream includes conduit means connecting said system and said refrigerant drier means in a closed circuit fluid path, and a heater element adapted to induce circulation of vapor through said conduit means and said drier.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 20 words
Apparatus as defined in claim 1 wherein said means for circulating said stream includes a blower in said conduit means.
Claim 5
Independent Claim 83 words
A method of removing moisture from a refrigeration system of the type utilizing a flooded evaporator including an evaporator shell, a tube bundle in said shell, and a body of refrigerant therein, the refrigerant level being below the upper portion of said shell; the steps which include withdrawing a stream of refrigerant vapor and moisture only during periods when said system is not in operation, removing moisture from said vapor and moisture stream and returning the dried refrigerant vapor to the evaporator shell.
Claim 6
Independent Claim 83 words
A method of removing moisture from a refrigeration system of the type utilizing a flooded evaporator including an evaporator shell, a tube bundle in said shell, and a body of refrigerant therein, the refrigerant level being below the upper portion of said shell; the steps which include withdrawing a stream of refrigerant vapor and moisture only during periods when said system is not in operation, removing moisture from said vapor and moisture stream and returning the dried refrigerant vapor to the evaporator shell.
Claim 7
Independent Claim 60 words
A method of removing moisture from a refrigeration system of the type utilizing a shell and tube condenser, the steps which include withdrawing a stream of refrigerant vapor and moisture from said condenser only during periods when said system is not in operation, removing moisture from said vapor and moisture stream and returning the dried refrigerant vapor to said condenser.
Claim 8
Independent Claim 60 words
A method of removing moisture from a refrigeration system of the type utilizing a shell and tube condenser, the steps which include withdrawing a stream of refrigerant vapor and moisture from said condenser only during periods when said system is not in operation, removing moisture from said vapor and moisture stream and returning the dried refrigerant vapor to said condenser.
