Abstract

Abstract The speed of an AC induction motor is controlled by regulating the frequency of the voltage applied to the stator. An improved frequency conversion circuit reduces the power line frequency to a lower desired frequency. The aforesaid induction speed control is suitable for use in any process or plant requiring the control of an AC induction motor, and is particularly useful in a pre-pay gasoline dispensing pump control system where a reduction in the pumping rate is required.
