Abstract A TREATING PROCESS FOR MOVING CATALYST RESIDUE FROM POLYOLEFINS BY COMBINING A POLYOLEFIN WITH AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF A FLUORINATED ORGANIC MATERIAL AND AGITATING SAID MATERIAL TOGETHER AT A TEMPERAURE IN THE RANGE OF 200-275*F. FOR A PERIOD IN THE RANGE OF FROM ABOUT 5 TO 60 MINUTES. IN ANOTHER EMBODIMENT THE POLYOLEFIN CAN BE DISSOLVED IN A SOLVENT AND THEREAFTER AGITATED AT A TEMPERATURE IN THE RANGE OF 65-275*F.
