Abstract

Abstract The multiple element detector array scanner achieves improved angular resolution in a direction at right angles to the scan direction, by spacing the detectors by substantially one-half detector width in the direction at right angles to the scan direction, rather than reducing the size of the detector. This array arrangement is particularly useful with infrared detector elements.
