Abstract A GALVANIC BATTERY IS DESCRIBED WHEREIN THE CELL OR EACH CELL IS ENCLOSED IN A COVER COMPRISING TWO PLASTIC FOILS TIGHTLY JOINTED TO EACH OTHER, ONE OF SAID FOILS CONSISTING OF AN ELECTRICALLY INSULATING PLASTIC MATERIAL AND THE OTHER CONSISTING OF AN ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE PLASTIC MATERIAL, AND ONLY THE ELECTRICALLY INSULATING PLASTIC FOIL BEING PROVIDED WITH AT LEAST ONE OPENING FOR ESTABLISHING CONTACT TO ONE ELECTRODE OF THE CELL.
