Abstract ALKYL ESTERS OF PERFLUOROALKYL ALKYLENE THIOCARBOXYLIC ACIDS ARE DISCLOSED WHEREIN THE ACIDS ARE REPRESENTED BY THE STRUCTURES: RF-(CH2)N-S-C(-R)(-CH(-R)-COOH)-COOH (I) RF-(CH2)N-S-CH(-CH2-COOH)2 (II) RF-CH2-S-CH2-CH(-COOH)-CH(-R)-COOH WHEREIN RF IS PERFLUORALKYL, N=1-3, AND R IS H, CH3, OR C2H5, AND WHERE IN FORMULA I AT LEAST ONE R IS H.
