Abstract THE DISCLOSURE DESCRIBES A CONTINUOUS FLOW CYLINDRICAL PRECIPITATION REACTOR HAVING A LATERAL OPENING THROUGH WHICH REACTANTS ARE INTRODUCED FROM TWO ADJACENT ORIFICES. IN THE REACTOR ARE ROTATING APERTURED DISK AGITATORS WHICH STIR THE REACTANTS TO FORM AN EMULSION. THE EMULSION FLOWS AXIALLY THROUGH THE REACTOR, AND LEAVES THE REACTOR AT ITS OPEN BOTTOM. THE PROCESS INVOLVES USE OF ACTIVE GELATIN, GOLD SENSITIZATION, AND IMMEDIATE COMBINING OF IMPUT FLOW STREAMS OF REACTANTS JUST PRIOR TO AGITATION.
