Abstract 1-(4-Higher alkyl-substituted cyclohexyl)-3-alkyl and 3,3dialkylureas and thioureas of the formula: WHEREIN R is alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, bicycloalkyl or tricycloalkyl; R1 and R2 are hydrogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, cyanoalkyl, nitroalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, thioalkoxyalkyl, and A is oxygen or sulfur. Typical is 1-(cis-4-cyclohexylmethylcyclohexyl)-3-methylurea useful as an animal repellant.
